There is something in GDPR for everyone. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) is new legislation that provides a single, harmonised data privacy law for the European Union. With the increasing risk of data breaches from cyber attack, the EU GDPR aims to prevent the loss of personal data by improving data security for all individuals living in EU member states. UK organisations have until May 2018 to comply with the new law, or potentially face fines of up to 4% of annual turnover or 20 million euros. Every company/organisation needs prepare for this legislation and appoint someone to this post as to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will come into effect in May 2018. As such there is now a rush to recruit professionals to help organisations prepare as well as appoint professionals to ensure compliance. Roles include Data Protection Officer/Consultant, Data Privacy Officer, GDPR Business Analyst, GDPR Regulatory Project Managers
There are no prerequisites to this course. New starters are welcome. There is something in GDPR for everyone - at entry level (with no experience) to experienced professionals.
